Bruce were you thinking of Swami Vivekananda who visited China and Canada en route to the United States, reaching Chicago on 30 July 1893. More like the beginning of the process. It goes much deeper and beyond that. It'd really becomes inexplicable and only understood by experience. But the initial stage is this awaken imagination that I speak about.

I have to disagree. Meditation has saved me from a life of addiction and anxiety. It has helped me in so many ways. Too many to list here on this thread. For me meditation has brought so much happiness and inner discovery. It has been life changing. But that's just me...
